Fire Tower
A fire tower is a tall structure used for spotting wildfires in remote areas. Typically built on elevated ground, these towers provide a clear view of the surrounding landscape, allowing fire lookouts to detect smoke and flames from a distance. Fire towers are often equipped with communication equipment to report any signs of fire to firefighting teams.
Many fire towers are constructed from wood or metal and may include a small cabin at the top for lookouts to stay in while monitoring the area. Some historic fire towers, like those in the United States, have been preserved as part of national parks and are popular with hikers and tourists.
