Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco consist of two main institutions: the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences. The de Young Museum, located in Golden Gate Park, showcases American art from the 17th through the 21st centuries, along with textiles and art from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.
The Legion of Honor is the other museum, featuring European art, including works by Rembrandt and Monet. Together, these museums offer a diverse collection that highlights both local and international artistic achievements, making them significant cultural landmarks in San Francisco.
