Filipino-American
A Filipino-American is a person of Filipino descent who is a citizen or resident of the United States. This identity can encompass individuals born in the Philippines who later moved to the U.S., as well as those born in the U.S. to Filipino parents. Filipino-Americans contribute to the rich cultural tapestry of the United States, bringing traditions, languages, and customs from the Philippines.
The Filipino-American community is one of the largest Asian-American groups in the U.S., with significant populations in states like California and Hawaii. Many Filipino-Americans maintain strong ties to their heritage through celebrations such as Fiesta and Christmas, which often include traditional foods like adobo and lumpia.
