Fibromatosis
Fibromatosis is a condition characterized by the growth of fibrous tissue, which can form tumors in various parts of the body. These tumors, known as desmoid tumors, are usually benign but can be aggressive and infiltrate surrounding tissues. Fibromatosis can occur in different locations, including the abdomen, limbs, and head and neck region.
The exact cause of fibromatosis is not well understood, but it may be associated with factors such as genetic mutations and previous trauma or surgery. Treatment options vary depending on the tumor's size and location and may include surgery, radiation therapy, or medication to manage symptoms.
