Fibonacci Numbers
Fibonacci Numbers are a sequence of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, starting from 0 and 1. The sequence begins as 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and so on. This pattern can be found in various natural phenomena, such as the arrangement of leaves on a stem or the branching of trees.
The sequence is named after the Italian mathematician Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci, who introduced it to the Western world in his 1202 book, Liber Abaci. Fibonacci numbers have applications in computer science, mathematics, and even art, illustrating the connection between mathematics and nature.
