Feudal Justice
Feudal justice was a system of law and order that existed during the Middle Ages, primarily in Europe. It was based on the hierarchical structure of the feudal system, where lords held power over their vassals and peasants. Disputes were often settled locally, with lords acting as judges in their own territories, enforcing their own rules and customs.
In this system, justice was not uniform; it varied from one lord to another. The rights of individuals were often secondary to the interests of the landowner. Punishments could be harsh, and the outcomes depended heavily on social status, with nobles receiving more lenient treatment than commoners.
