Fethullah Gülen
Fethullah Gülen is a Turkish cleric and educator known for founding the Gülen movement, which promotes education, interfaith dialogue, and social service. Born in 1941 in Turkey, he has lived in self-imposed exile in the United States since 1999. His teachings emphasize the importance of science, tolerance, and ethical values.
The Gülen movement has established numerous schools and educational institutions worldwide, focusing on character development and academic excellence. However, Gülen has been a controversial figure in Turkey, particularly after the failed coup attempt in 2016, which the Turkish government attributed to his followers, leading to significant political and social repercussions.
