Fetal Positioning
Fetal positioning refers to the orientation of a baby in the womb during pregnancy. The ideal position for delivery is the vertex position, where the baby is head-down, facing the mother's back. This position allows for a smoother birth process, as the baby's head can fit through the birth canal more easily.
Other positions include the breech position, where the baby is feet or buttocks down, and the transverse position, where the baby lies sideways. These alternative positions can complicate delivery and may require medical interventions, such as a cesarean section, to ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby.
