Feral Cat
A feral cat is a domestic cat that has reverted to a wild state, typically living outdoors and avoiding human contact. Unlike house cats, feral cats are not socialized to people and often form colonies in urban or rural areas. They rely on hunting small animals for food and can adapt to various environments.
Feral cats are often distinguished from stray cats, which are lost or abandoned pets that may seek human interaction. Many communities implement trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs to manage feral cat populations, helping to control their numbers while allowing them to live in their natural habitats.
