Feline Deities
Feline deities are gods and goddesses associated with cats in various cultures. One of the most well-known is Bastet, the ancient Egyptian goddess of home, fertility, and domesticity, often depicted as a lioness or a woman with a lioness head. Cats were revered in ancient Egypt, symbolizing protection and grace.
In other cultures, such as in Japanese folklore, the Maneki-neko or "beckoning cat" is a popular talisman believed to bring good luck and fortune. These feline figures are often seen in homes and businesses, showcasing the cultural significance of cats as symbols of prosperity and protection across different societies.
