Felice Orsini
Felice Orsini was an Italian revolutionary born on December 4, 1819, in the city of Forli. He is best known for his role in the Italian unification movement and for his assassination attempt on Napoleon III in 1858. Orsini believed that the French Emperor's support was crucial for Italy's unification and sought to eliminate him to further the cause.
Orsini's attack involved throwing bombs at Napoleon III's carriage, which ultimately failed but drew significant attention to the Italian unification efforts. He was captured, tried, and executed by guillotine on March 13, 1858. His actions inspired many others in the fight for Italian independence.
