Feldherrnhalle
The Feldherrnhalle is a monumental structure located in Munich, Germany. Built between 1841 and 1844, it was designed by architect Gottfried Semper and commemorates the Bavarian army's victories. The hall features two equestrian statues of notable military leaders, symbolizing bravery and leadership.
Originally intended as a tribute to the military, the Feldherrnhalle later became a site of political significance. It was the location of the failed Beer Hall Putsch in 1923, led by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Today, it serves as a historical landmark and a reminder of Germany's complex past.
