Federal Okrugs
Federal Okrugs are administrative regions in the Russian Federation, established to enhance governance and coordination among federal authorities. Each okrug is overseen by a presidential envoy, who represents the federal government and ensures that policies are implemented effectively across the region.
There are currently eight Federal Okrugs, which vary in size and population. They serve to streamline the administration of Russia's vast territory, allowing for better management of resources and regional development. The creation of these okrugs aims to improve the relationship between the federal government and local authorities, fostering cooperation and support.
