Federal Board of Revenue
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is the primary tax collection agency of the Government of Pakistan. Established in 1924, it is responsible for the administration and enforcement of tax laws, including income tax, sales tax, and customs duties. The FBR plays a crucial role in generating revenue for the government to fund public services and development projects.
The FBR operates under the Ministry of Finance and aims to enhance tax compliance and broaden the tax base. It also implements policies to combat tax evasion and improve the efficiency of tax collection processes, contributing to the overall economic stability of Pakistan.
