Fecr-i Ati
Fecr-i Ati was a Turkish literary movement that emerged in the early 20th century, around 1908. It aimed to break away from traditional Ottoman literature and embrace modern themes and styles. The group sought to reflect contemporary life and emotions, often experimenting with free verse and new forms of expression.
The movement included notable figures such as Ahmet Haşim and Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, who contributed to its development. Although Fecr-i Ati was short-lived, it played a significant role in paving the way for later literary movements in Turkey, influencing writers to explore individualism and modernity.
