Farms for City Children
Farms for City Children is a charity organization in the United Kingdom that provides urban children with the opportunity to experience life on a working farm. Founded in 1976 by Michael Morpurgo, the program allows children from cities to engage in farming activities, learn about nature, and develop a connection with the countryside.
The initiative focuses on children aged 9 to 11, offering them a chance to stay on farms for a week. During their stay, they participate in various tasks such as feeding animals, planting crops, and understanding the importance of agriculture, fostering a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
