F-type Main-sequence Star
An F-type main-sequence star is a type of star that falls between the hotter A-type and cooler G-type stars on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. These stars have surface temperatures ranging from about 6,000 to 7,600 degrees Celsius. They are typically yellow-white in color and are known for their strong hydrogen fusion in their cores, which allows them to shine brightly.
F-type stars are more massive than the Sun, with masses ranging from 1.0 to 1.5 times that of the Solar System. They have shorter lifespans than cooler stars, lasting around 2 to 3 billion years before evolving into giant stars. Examples of F-type stars include Procyon and Aldebaran.
