F-106 Delta Dart
The F-106 Delta Dart was a supersonic interceptor aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas for the United States Air Force. Introduced in the late 1950s, it was designed to defend against enemy bombers during the Cold War. The aircraft featured a delta wing design, which provided excellent speed and maneuverability.
Equipped with advanced radar and missile systems, the F-106 could engage targets at long ranges. It was powered by a single Pratt & Whitney J75 engine, allowing it to reach speeds over Mach 2. The F-106 served until the 1980s, playing a crucial role in air defense during its operational years.
