F-102 Delta Dagger
The F-102 Delta Dagger was an American interceptor aircraft developed in the 1950s by Convair. Designed to protect against Soviet bombers during the Cold War, it featured a distinctive delta wing shape that improved speed and maneuverability. The aircraft was powered by a single engine and could reach speeds of over 1,000 miles per hour.
Entering service in 1956, the F-102 was equipped with advanced radar and missile systems, allowing it to engage enemy aircraft effectively. It served primarily with the United States Air Force until the late 1970s, playing a crucial role in air defense during its operational years.
