Ezana
Ezana was a prominent king of the ancient kingdom of Aksum, located in present-day Ethiopia and Eritrea. He ruled during the early 4th century AD and is best known for making Aksum one of the first major empires to adopt Christianity as the state religion. This significant decision helped spread Christianity throughout the region.
Under Ezana's leadership, the Aksumite Empire expanded its territory and became a major trading power in the Red Sea region. He is also credited with developing a written script known as Ge'ez, which is still used in Ethiopia today. Ezana's reign marked a pivotal moment in the history of East Africa.
