Extracontractual Liability
Extracontractual liability refers to a legal responsibility that arises when a person or entity causes harm to another, outside of any contractual agreement. This type of liability is often associated with tort law, where the injured party can seek compensation for damages resulting from negligence, intentional wrongdoing, or strict liability.
In cases of extracontractual liability, the injured party does not need to prove that a contract existed between them and the wrongdoer. Instead, they must demonstrate that the wrongdoer's actions directly caused their injury or loss, allowing them to claim damages in court.
