European rowan
The European rowan, also known as Sorbus aucuparia, is a deciduous tree native to Europe and parts of Asia. It typically grows to a height of 15 to 20 meters and features pinnate leaves with 5 to 9 leaflets. The tree produces clusters of small, white flowers in spring, which develop into bright orange-red berries by late summer.
This species is often found in woodlands, hills, and mountainous areas. The berries are a food source for various birds and can be used to make jams and jellies. Additionally, the European rowan is valued for its ornamental qualities and is commonly planted in gardens and parks.
