European Union (EU)
The European Union (EU) is a political and economic union of 27 European countries that have chosen to work together more closely. Established in 1993, the EU aims to promote peace, stability, and prosperity among its member states. It allows for the free movement of people, goods, services, and capital across borders, creating a single market.
The EU also has its own institutions, such as the European Parliament and the European Commission, which help to create and enforce laws. Member countries collaborate on various issues, including trade, security, and environmental policies, to address challenges that affect the region collectively.
