European Railway Safety Agency
The European Railway Safety Agency (ERA) is an agency of the European Union established to enhance the safety and interoperability of the railway system across Europe. It works to ensure that rail transport is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly by developing common safety standards and regulations.
ERA also supports the European Commission in implementing railway policies and provides technical assistance to member states. By promoting cooperation among national authorities and railway operators, the agency aims to create a seamless and reliable railway network throughout Europe, benefiting both passengers and freight transport.
