European Assembly
The European Assembly, also known as the European Parliament, is one of the key institutions of the European Union. It represents the citizens of the EU and is responsible for making laws, approving budgets, and overseeing other EU institutions. Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) are elected every five years by citizens in member countries.
The Assembly meets in Strasbourg, Brussels, and Luxembourg to discuss and vote on various issues affecting the EU. It plays a crucial role in shaping policies on topics such as trade, environment, and human rights, ensuring that the voices of European citizens are heard in the legislative process.
