Eurasian Curlew
The Eurasian Curlew is a large wading bird known for its long, curved bill and distinctive call. It typically inhabits wetlands, mudflats, and grasslands across Europe and Asia. This bird is recognized for its brown and white plumage, which provides excellent camouflage in its natural habitat.
Eurasian Curlews are migratory, traveling long distances between breeding and wintering grounds. They primarily feed on invertebrates, such as worms and crustaceans, which they find by probing the mud with their bills. Conservation efforts are important for this species, as its population has been declining due to habitat loss and hunting.
