Ethel Rosenberg
Ethel Rosenberg was an American woman born on September 28, 1915, in New York City. She is best known for being convicted, along with her husband, Julius Rosenberg, of espionage during the Cold War. They were accused of passing atomic secrets to the Soviet Union, which heightened tensions between the United States and Soviet Union.
In 1951, Ethel and Julius were arrested and later tried in a highly publicized case. Despite their claims of innocence, they were found guilty and executed in 1953. Their trial and execution sparked significant debate about justice, loyalty, and the impact of the Red Scare in America.
