Eternalism
Eternalism is a philosophical theory about the nature of time, suggesting that all points in time—past, present, and future—are equally real. Unlike presentism, which holds that only the present moment exists, eternalism posits that events and moments are fixed in a four-dimensional spacetime continuum. This view implies that time is more like a landscape where all events coexist rather than a flowing river.
In the context of physics, eternalism aligns with certain interpretations of Einstein's theory of relativity, which treats time as a dimension similar to space. This perspective challenges our intuitive understanding of time and raises questions about the nature of existence and change.
