Estonian Defense Forces
The Estonian Defense Forces (EDF) is the military organization responsible for the defense of Estonia. Established in 1918, it consists of the Estonian Army, Estonian Navy, and Estonian Air Force. The EDF focuses on maintaining national security and participating in international missions, often collaborating with NATO allies.
The EDF also includes the Estonian Volunteer Defense League, which allows civilians to contribute to national defense. The forces are trained to respond to various threats, including cyber warfare, and emphasize modern technology and strategic partnerships to enhance their capabilities in a changing security environment.
