Ernesto "Che" Guevara was an Argentine revolutionary and key figure in the Cuban Revolution. Born in 1928, he studied medicine before becoming involved in politics and guerrilla warfare. Che believed in fighting for social justice and equality, which led him to join Fidel Castro in overthrowing the Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista in 1959. His image became a symbol of rebellion and anti-imperialism worldwide.
After the success in Cuba, Che sought to spread his revolutionary ideals across Latin America and Africa. He believed that armed struggle was necessary to achieve change. Unfortunately, he was captured and executed in Bolivia in 1967, but his legacy continues to inspire many around the globe.
