Ernest Augustus
Ernest Augustus was a British royal born on November 5, 1771, as the second son of King George III and Queen Charlotte. He served as the Duke of Cumberland and Teviotdale and was known for his military career, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars.
In 1815, he became the King of Hanover after the death of his brother, King George IV. Ernest Augustus was a significant figure in the royal family, known for his strong opinions and sometimes controversial actions, including his opposition to the reform movements of his time. He died on August 12, 1851.
