Erik of Pomerania
Erik of Pomerania was a king who ruled over Denmark, Norway, and Sweden during the early 15th century. Born around 1382, he became king of Denmark in 1396 and later was crowned king of Norway and Sweden as part of the Kalmar Union, which aimed to unite the three kingdoms under a single monarch.
His reign faced challenges, including internal conflicts and opposition from the nobility. In 1439, Erik was deposed by a coalition of nobles in Sweden, leading to the decline of the Kalmar Union. He spent his later years in Pomerania, where he died in 1459.
