Eric of Pomerania
Eric of Pomerania was a king who ruled over Denmark, Sweden, and Norway during the early 15th century. Born around 1382, he became king of Denmark in 1396 and later was crowned king of Sweden and Norway as part of the Kalmar Union, which aimed to unite the three kingdoms under a single monarch.
His reign faced challenges, including internal conflicts and opposition from the nobility. In 1439, Eric was deposed and spent the rest of his life in exile. He died in 1459, leaving a legacy marked by both unification efforts and political strife in the Nordic region.
