Eric II of Denmark
Eric II of Denmark was a king who ruled from 1134 to 1137. He was a member of the House of Knýtlinga and the son of Niels, King of Denmark. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and struggles for power, particularly against rival factions within the kingdom.
During his short rule, Eric II faced challenges from the Danish nobility and was eventually overthrown. After his defeat, he fled to Sweden and later died in exile. His reign is often remembered for the instability it brought to Denmark during the early medieval period.
