Eranthis
Eranthis, commonly known as winter aconite, is a genus of flowering plants in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. These perennial plants are native to Europe and Asia and are known for their bright yellow flowers that bloom in late winter or early spring, often emerging through snow. They typically grow in woodland areas and prefer well-drained soil.
The flowers of Eranthis are cup-shaped and surrounded by green, leaf-like bracts. They are often used in gardens for their early blooms, providing a splash of color when most other plants are still dormant. Eranthis is also appreciated for its ability to naturalize, spreading over time to create beautiful ground cover.
