Enriquillo Valley
The Enriquillo Valley is a low-lying region located in the southwestern part of the Dominican Republic. It is known for being the lowest point in the Caribbean, with parts of the valley lying below sea level. The valley is surrounded by the Sierra de Bahoruco mountain range and is characterized by its unique geological features, including salt flats and lakes.
The valley is home to Lake Enriquillo, the largest lake in the Caribbean, which is also a saline body of water.
