Enrique Granados
Enrique Granados was a Spanish composer and pianist born on July 27, 1867, in Lleida, Spain. He is best known for his piano works and his opera, Goyescas, which reflects the influence of Spanish folk music and the art of Francisco Goya. Granados studied music in Barcelona and later in Paris, where he gained recognition for his compositions.
Tragically, Granados died on March 24, 1916, when the ship he was traveling on sank while crossing the English Channel. His music continues to be celebrated for its lyrical beauty and emotional depth, making him an important figure in early 20th-century classical music.
