Empress Eugénie
Empress Eugénie was the wife of Napoleon III, the last Emperor of the French Second Empire. Born on May 5, 1826, in Granada, Spain, she became Empress of the French in 1853 when she married Napoleon. Eugénie was known for her elegance and played a significant role in promoting the arts and fashion during her reign.
As Empress, Eugénie was involved in various charitable works and supported the construction of the Suez Canal. She also hosted many important political and cultural events. After the fall of the empire in 1870, she lived in exile in England until her death on July 11, 1920.
