Emperor Yomei
Emperor Yomei was the 33rd emperor of Japan, reigning from 585 to 587 AD. He was a member of the Yamato dynasty and is known for his efforts to promote Buddhism in Japan. His reign was marked by political challenges and conflicts with powerful clans.
Yomei's rule was relatively short, lasting only about two years. He succeeded Emperor Bidatsu and was followed by Emperor Sushun. Despite his brief time on the throne, Yomei's support for Buddhism laid the groundwork for its further development in Japanese society.
