Emperor Wen of Sui
Emperor Wen of Sui, born Yang Jian, was the founder of the Sui Dynasty in China, reigning from 581 to 604 AD. He is known for unifying China after several centuries of division during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. His rule marked the end of the chaotic period and laid the foundation for the subsequent Tang Dynasty.
