Emperor Trajan
Emperor Trajan ruled from 98 to 117 AD and is often regarded as one of the greatest Roman emperors. He expanded the Roman Empire to its maximum territorial extent, conquering regions such as Dacia (modern-day Romania) and parts of the Middle East. His reign is marked by military success and significant public building projects.
Trajan is also known for his efforts to improve the welfare of his citizens. He implemented social programs, including the alimenta, which provided financial support for poor children. His legacy includes the famous Trajan's Column, a monumental structure that commemorates his victories and serves as an important historical source.
