Emperor Go-En'yū
Emperor Go-En'yū was the 100th emperor of Japan, reigning from 1331 to 1333 during the Nanboku-chō period. He was born on March 1, 1358, and was a member of the Yamato dynasty. His reign was marked by political turmoil and conflict, particularly the struggle between the Ashikaga shogunate and the imperial court.
Go-En'yū was known for his efforts to restore imperial authority and unify Japan. His reign ended when he was forced to abdicate in favor of Emperor Kōmyō, leading to a brief period of Ashikaga dominance. He passed away on June 18, 1393.
