Emperor Domitian
Emperor Domitian ruled the Roman Empire from 81 to 96 AD. He was the last of the Flavian dynasty and is known for his authoritarian style of governance. Domitian focused on strengthening the economy and expanding the empire's borders, but his reign was also marked by political repression and a lack of tolerance for dissent.
Domitian was born on October 24, 51 AD, and became emperor after the death of his brother, Titus. His rule saw significant building projects, including the renovation of the Palatine Hill and the construction of the Colosseum. However, he faced increasing opposition, leading to his assassination in 96 AD.
