Emma Gonzalez
Emma Gonzalez is an American activist known for her advocacy for gun control following the tragic shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14, 2018. As a student at the school, she survived the attack, which claimed the lives of 17 people. Emma quickly became a prominent voice in the movement for stricter gun laws, co-founding the organization Never Again MSD.
In March 2018, Emma delivered a powerful speech during the March for Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C., where she famously stood in silence for several minutes to honor the victims. Her activism has inspired many young people to engage in discussions about gun violence and has brought national attention to the need for reform in gun legislation.
