March for Our Lives
"March for Our Lives" is a student-led movement that advocates for gun control and aims to prevent gun violence in schools and communities. It was founded in 2018 by survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. The movement organizes rallies, educational events, and campaigns to raise awareness about the impact of gun violence and to promote legislative changes.
The first major event took place on March 24, 2018, when hundreds of thousands of people participated in a nationwide march in Washington, D.C. and other cities across the United States. The movement seeks to engage young people in the political process and encourage them to advocate for their rights and safety.
