Emir of Kano
The Emir of Kano is the traditional ruler of the ancient city of Kano in northern Nigeria. The Emir is also a key figure in the Fulani and Hausa cultures, representing the interests of the people. The current Emir, as of 2023, is Aminu Ado Bayero, who was appointed in 2020. The Emirate is known for its rich history, including the famous Kano City Walls and vibrant markets.
