Ellinikon is a former international airport located in Athens, Greece. It was operational from 1938 until 2001 and served as the main airport for the city before the opening of Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. The site covers approximately 6.2 square kilometers along the Athenian Riviera. In recent years, Ellinikon has been the focus of a major redevelopment project.
