Elizabeth of Denmark
Elizabeth of Denmark was a Danish princess born in 1524, the daughter of King Christian II of Denmark and Isabella of Austria. She became known for her beauty and intelligence, and her life was marked by political intrigue and personal tragedy.
In 1544, Elizabeth married Count Johan of Oldenburg, but their marriage was troubled. After her husband's death, she returned to Denmark, where she played a role in the court. Elizabeth died in 1586, leaving behind a legacy as a significant figure in Danish history during the Renaissance period.
