Elizabeth of Austria
Elizabeth of Austria, also known as Sisi, was an Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary born on December 24, 1837. She was the wife of Franz Joseph I, the Emperor of Austria, and became a prominent figure in the Habsburg monarchy. Known for her beauty and free spirit, Elizabeth often struggled with the constraints of royal life.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth was passionate about travel and culture, spending much time in Hungary, where she was beloved by the people. She faced personal tragedies, including the death of her son, which deeply affected her. Elizabeth was assassinated in 1898 in Geneva, Switzerland.
