Elizabeth Line
The Elizabeth Line is a major railway line in London, named after Queen Elizabeth II. It connects the central part of the city with the outer regions, stretching from Reading in the west to Shenfield in the east. The line is designed to improve travel times and increase capacity for commuters, featuring modern trains and new stations.
Opened in May 2022, the Elizabeth Line is part of the Crossrail project, which aimed to enhance London's transport network. It integrates with other transport services, including the London Underground and National Rail, making it easier for passengers to switch between different modes of transport.
